Work with digital files

I have worked with digital vector files for over 7 years and can offer guidance based on my extensive experience. Formats like SVG, PDF, EPS, PNG, and even customized JPG files have nuances and challenges, even when the file is well-prepared.

Help topics:

1. Work with digital files - read below.

2. Trouble with white vector files

In this article you can read what to do, if you have ...

trouble opening a digital file

1. SVG - the most common file if working on a cutting machine, CNC etching glass, burning in wood, and preparing a specific files used for embroidery.

This file is very popular and can be used on meny graphic programs and output machines. Hovewer issues happens. The file dispite it popularity is not perfect and can make tricks. In it happens:

- download the file one more time. If it does not work try another device;

- try download this way, 99% of my clients have made SVG to work:

Download the file not stright to your program but to a place (folder) on your device. Do NOT open with doubleclick even it is common. Better - open program, make/open a clean artboard/project sheet and only then import/place the file there from where you saved it.

- If this do not help - I have made all my digital issues unswered if drop the question in Google. Use the keywords of the problem and name the program you work with. For better explanations and studdies use Youtube - for graphical files there lot of good video.

- If still nothing helps, I can resend you files. Sometimes the repeted receiving of the file in different way makes file work. Mind that I can not be at the computer all the time 24/7. But I can not teach you work with files if you are a begginer.

2. JPG - remember - digital graphic art on JPG file has a white background. If you put it as a decoration on another illustration, mind that you will have a white square around the image. And You can not make jpg bigger without quality loss.

3. PNG - this file has no background and they are good to use if you need to put together different designs. Mind that PNG can not be made bigger with no quality loss. Use vector files like PDF, SVG instead;

4. Most of designs in my shop has no EPS added. If you use EPS, you can have problem opening it, if you have an elder program versin as that one where the file is prepared on. Try another file type like SVG, PDF.

5. PDF - even very popular file easy to work with and most professional in my experience, it can not work on some programs like Inkscape, for example. Please always study what files you can use on your program and check is there this file in my shop before you purchase.

6. Not all programs opens most file types, so before you by a file consider what files your program works with. Even so common files like PDF and SVG can be non-openable on some programs.

7. DXF - I am not common with this file type however I can make it and they suits for my clients in most occassions. I do not include DXF in my collections, but please ask, I will send this file to you after purchase as soon as I can.

Please ask, if still questions
